Joe Chafin of Lenore West Virginia unleashed both of his project awesome cars at the 2014 Todd's Extreme Paint World Super Pro Challenge. Mr. Chafin drove project awesome II while John Parkes of Chrome-Worx Performance piloted the original project awesome car.
The goal for the weekend was to get Joe 4 straight days of racing to maximize his consecutive days of seat time. The weekend was a success as Joe felt very comfortable racing on his own by the end of the fourth day.
Both cars were very consistent throughout the weekend. In Friday nights 10 grander John Parkes took car 1 to 9 cars and lost with a .0001 margin of victory going to fellow racer Chad Batyk. A disappointing loss but an overall successful weekend considering both cars were in competition for the first time.
Chrome-Worx would like to thank the Chafin Family for giving us such a great opportunity to build them 2 of the most beautiful dragsters out there.
Chrome-Worx is pleased to announce a new build for Bauer Racing in Buffalo New York. We look forward to another exiting project for the 2012-2013 offseason. Stay tuned in the months to come for new project photos of the Bauer Digger.
Our next project in house will be a brand new 2013 carbon fiber Top Dragster. It looks like this thing is gonna be “the cream of the crop”. Keep your eye on this project as we will be approaching new levels of awesomeness! We can't wait for this one!
